Multi-Team Race Develops In SP Men's Senior Golf

Monday's action produced a very close multi-team race in the Men's Two-Man Golf League action at the St. Lawrence State Par.

Super sub Tom Cobb shot a one-under 34 teaming with Dave Shea to finish the day tied with Bill Taylor and Mel Fechette at 16 points atop the standings. Bob Simpson and Howard Quinn and Wally Boyer and Jerry McRoberts follow at 15 1/2 points and Steve Bateman and Mike Herzog and Joe Tracy and Warren Putman stand a close third at 15.

Rounding out the standings were: Pete Wheater and Ron Rickett (12 1/2), Gary Guimond and Dick LaVigne (11 1/2), Carl and Junior Lincoln (10 1/2) and Ken Judd and Art Sciorra (10 1/2).

Following Cobb and league leaderboard are: Gary Guimond 39, Dick Wilson 40, Dave Shea 41, Art Sciorra 41, Joe Tracy 41, Bob Simpson 41, Ron Rickett 42 and Mike Herzog 42.

Mel Fechette on five and Tom Cobb on eight posted the lone birdies on the day and Cobb took Closest To The Pin honors on the ninth hole.
