First NC Junior Tourney Produces Fine Golf, Competition

POTSDAM - The first North Country Junior Golf Tournament produced excellent shotmaking and competition in all three age divisions at the Potsdam Golf and Country Club on Tuesday.

Tyler Berkman led the 16-18 Division with a 75 and Ryan Jones won a playoff for second place after matching a round of 80 with Dylan Farr. Billy LaPierre tallied an 83 and Jace Dutch posted an 84. Kelson Hooper rounded out the division with an 86.

Jack Pitts fashioned a nice 45 to take honors in 12Under Division followed by Quinn McGaheim at 53 and Owen Lovely at 56.

Cooper Grant fired a 79 and Ian Vanwagner finished one stroke back to lead a very deep 13-15 Division. Sam Sieminski and Brennan LaShomb came in at 82 and Evan Collette and Christos Theodore both carded rounds of 83. Nick McRoberts followed with an 85.

The second North Country Junior Golf Tournament of the season will be held on Tuesday at the Partridge Run Golf and Country Club.
