OBGC Hoopsters Complete Regular Season Sunday

The Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club Basketball team will compete its regular season hosting Smitty's on Sunday at 1 p.m

On Saturday Maranatha downed the OBGC 76-33 and Citizens Advocate, Chateaugay, and FBMM also picked up wins in CYO Basketball action Saturday.

Maranatha 76, Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club 33. Brayden Powell led the winners with 32 points, followed by Ed Russell with 17, and Israel Ryman with 11. Others scoring were Jeremy Leclair with seven, Ryan Avery with six, and Avant Pickett with three. OBGC was led by Nick Davidson and Taylor George each with eight points followed by Michael Bice with seven. Others scoring were Steven Javier with five, Markell Johnson with three, and Bryce Redmond with two.

Citizens Advocate 57, Bangor 33. Dawson Scharf led the winners with 16 points followed by Alex Hanna and Blake Rivers both with 10. Tyler Trombley followed with eight, while Braedyn Dietz had seven points and five rebounds. Others scoring were Nick Bertrand with four and Dylan Warner with two. Scott McCray Jr led Bangor with 11 while Dryden Spinner had 10 points and eight rebounds. Connor Smith followed with seven and Caiden LaMay four to round out the scoring.

Chateaugay 69, St John Bosco 59. Hunter Trombley led the winners with 17 points, followed by Cody Woodard with 15, and Brady Magoon with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Carter Tower just missed double figures with nine points and seven rebounds while Riley Dupuis also added nine. Julia Bosley contributed seven points on two field goals and three free throws. St. John Bosco found themselves behind by nineteen points at one point, but their never say die attitude soon had them back in it. Josh Bova led with 16 points, followed by Jeremy Lamitie and Logan Hohol each with 12, while Seth Gonia added 11. Others scoring were Darrien Boyea with five and Conner Chevrier with three.

FBMM 47, Smitty's 37. Garrett Osborn led the winners with 15 points followed by Ethan LaVarre with 14. Skylar Gravel added seven, while Dylan Keating, Zedynn Poirier, Brad Poupore, Treysean Morris, and Cam Keating each scored two and Sage Sovie added a free throw.

Nate Martin led Smitty's with 12 while Brady Sweet had 10. Others scoring were Lucas Saumier with seven, Jarrett Sweet with four, and Logan McMahon and Kelson Preve with two points apiece.

Current Standings: Chateaugay 12-1, Maranatha and St John Bosco both 10-2, Citizens Advocate 9-4, Bangor and FBMM both 4-9, Ogdensburg and Smitty's both 1-11.

Smitty's has a make up with Ogdensburg.
