OFA Golfers Prevail For 1-1; Malone Tops M-W

OFA gained its first win of the season with a 252-254 win at Gouverneur and 2-0 Malone downed Madrid-Waddington 248-328 at Partridge Run in Canton in Monday's NAC Golf action.

OFA Over Gouverneur: Gouverneur's Dylan Farr shot a medalist round of 40 but the Blue Devils prevailed behind a 46 by Ethan Bouchard, a 47 by Tim McLellan, a 50 by Nick McRoberts, a 54 by Gabe Clark and a 55 by Nate Woods on a cold wet day at the Gouverneur Country Club.

"It was a cool day and the course was soggy but we stayed dry. It was hard to find your ball because you can't always see it land," said OFA Coach Matt Morley.

"We go to Malone on Wednesday and hopefully we shoot well."

Following Dylan Farr in the Gouverneur (1-2) lineup were: Avery Hayden at 45, Sully Rumbly at 49 and 60s by Nathan Shippee and Rand Rumble.

Malone Over M-W: The Partridge Run course was wet and formidable and Malone pulled away from M-W (1-1) led by 48s from Dawson Miletech, Jake Monette and Jerry Scharff. Evan Miller and Sam Ells added a 51 and 53. Drew Harmer's 50 led M-W and Kyle Murphy and Caleb Hayden followed at 57 and 66.

Massena Over Potsdam: Colin Patterson's 38 led a solid team showing by Massena which included:, Aidan MacKenzie 46, Louis LaRose 46, Sean Murphy 46 and Meghan Firnstein 47. Christos Theodore led Potsdam with a 41 followed by Lucas Cruikshank 52, Ezra Williams 52 and Austin Emlaw 58,

In one other match Tupper Lake defeated Colton-Pierrepont 321-337.
