OFA JV Boys Finish Strong For Strong Finish

A strong finish produced a strong finish to the season for the OFA JV Boys Basketball team which finished its NAC Central season at 11-3 with a 53-31 victory at Gouverneur on Thursday night. The Blue Devils took a 17-14 halftime lead and broke away with a 21-10 third quarter run.

"After a very slow start In the first half we were able to regroup and have a huge third quarter. It all started with better ball movement and better shot selection. This was a great way to close out the season. I am very proud of all the boys for all the hard work they put in and it definitely showed throughout the season," said OFA Coach Dakota Brady who was assisted by Jon Rogers.

Justice McIntyre went 7-10 from the foul line scoring a game-high 16 points for the Devils who posted an overall record of 15-5. Ryan Mitchell scored eight points in a well distributed winning offense which also featured six points from Aiden LaFlair and Connor Graveline and five from Andrew Loffler.

Other scoring for OFA which made 15 of 20 free throws came from: Brady Bullock (3), Alex Mitchell (3), Alex Worden (2) and Shea Polniak (4). Raine Rumble and Cole Davis each scored nine points for Gouverneur.
