OFA JV's Down Heuvelton In Hoops
Pulling away from a 26-20 halftime lead OFA outscored Heuvelton 59-37 in a nonleague junior varsity boys basketball game on Wednesday.
"It was great team defense from everyone. Aiden LaFlair attacked the offensive boards and Shea Polniak hit some late threes to put the game away," said OFA Coach Dakota Brady after the Devils won their second game in two days to start the season at 2-0.
LaFlair tallied 12 points as the inside complement to a 19 point effort by guard Justice McIntyre who hit a pair of 3-pointers. Shea Polniak netted two 3s scoring nine points and Kam Johnson came through with eight points. Rounding out the scoring were: Connor Graveline (1), Ryan Mitchell (3), Andrew Loffler (2), Jacob Farley (2) and Brady Bullock (3).
Chris Ashley led Heuvelton with 17 points and Tristan Young and Lucas Thornhill each came through with seven. Rounding out the scoring were: Jake Venette (4), Connor Phillips (1) and Hunter Venette (1).
