OFA Teams, Athlete Compete For State, Section Honors

The OFA Cheerleaders started Section 10 Championship week by winning the Section 10 Large Team and Overall Grand Championship. The OFA Boys and Girls Basketball teams an d Hockey team are looking to follow the Cheerleaders and members of the Boys Track-Field and Wrestling team to the state championship level.

The Varsity Cheerleading Team, newly crowned Section 10 Large Division and Section 10 Overall Champions, will be competing in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Championships at Rochester Institute of Technology (Gordon Field House),

in Rochester, on Saturday, March 7th . Preliminary Rounds start time is 9 a.m.

OFA Wrestlers Archie Green Tristan Richardson, and Brayden Wall qualified for the New

York State Public High School Athletic Association Wrestling Championships at Times Union Center, in Albany, on Friday, February 28h and Saturday, February 29th.

In Track-Field Trey LaBella and Luc LaFlair qualified for the New York State Public High

School Athletic Association Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Ocean Breeze Track Facility, in Staten Island, on Saturday, March 7th.

Then Varsity Girls Basketball Team will be playing Canton in the

Section 10, Class B, Championship game at SUNY Potsdam, on Thursday, February 27th at 6 p.m.

The Hockey team will be hosting the winner of Tuesday night’s game (Thousand Islands or Salmon River) in the Section 10, Division 2, Semi-Finals on Thursday February 27 at 6:30 p.m.

The Varsity Boys Basketball Central Division Champions will be playing Canton in the Section 10, Class B, Championship game at SUNY Potsdam, on Thursday,

February 27th at 7:45 p.m.

"This is an exciting time for High School Sports and our OFA Blue Devils. Let’s wish all of our teams good luck and continued success in their upcoming contests. Hope to see a lot of you in the stands, supporting and cheering for our coaches and student-athletes," said OFA Athletic Director.
