Ogd Pee Wees Bs Win Watertown Tourney Title


The Ogdensburg Pee Wees placed first at the Watertown Tournament on the first weekend of December. Taking two one-sided shutouts and then shading Watertown 4-3 in the championship game the 12U Tournament Bound Leafs (Pee Wee Bs) of the Ogdensburg Minor Hockey Association won the Watertown Tournament on Dec. 2-3. Ogdensburg Minor Hockey claimed two championship games on the weekend as the Pee Wee Cs also won their division in the tournament with a dramatic overtime win in the championship game.

The Pee Wee Bs, coached by Craig Thornhill, Matt Morley and Paul O'Donnell, shut out Gatineau 8-0 and Lysander 10-0 before downing Watertown in championship game 3-2. Kaden Bogart handled the goaltending in all three games

Ogdensburg 8 - Gatineau 0: Hayden McDonald scored two goals to lead the offense which came from all over the lineup. Tegan Frederick, Laughlin O'Donnell and Nathan Irvine all supplied a goal and an assist and Aidan Moran dished out two assists. Single goals came from Aiden O'Neill and Rocco Testani and single assists came from Austin and Jackson Thornhill and Chris Jacobs.

Ogdensburg 10 - Lysander 0: Tegan Frederick figured in six goals with four goals and two assists and Tyler Sovie scored twice to lead the winning offense which also featured one goal and one assist from Jack Morley and Aidan O'Neill. Hayden McDonald tallied a single goal with Austin and Jackson Thornhill passing out single assists.

Ogdensburg 3 - Waterrtown 2: Rocco Testani scored the winning goal from Tyler Sovie in the championship game where Tegan Frederick scored twice and Chris Jacobs also netted a goal.

PEE WEE B'S THIRD AT CAMILLUS

The Pee Wee Bs went 2-2 to place third at the Camillus Tournament over the Thanksgiving Weekend. The locals opened with an 8-3 win over Watertown and downed Watertown 8-2 to earn third place after losses of 8-2 to Skaneateles and 7-4 to Camillus.

Ogdensburg 8 - Watertown 3: Tegan Frederick scored five goals with two assists and Camden Griffith scored one goal with one assist. Laughlin O'Donnell, Tyler Sovie and Brooks Garvey all netted single goals and Nathan Irvine, Aidan O'Neill and Chris Jacobs all added assists to the offensive support Kaden Bogart who tended the goal in all four games.

Skaneateles 8 - Ogdensburg 2: Brooks Garvey scored an unassisted goal and Tegan Frederick scored from Brooks Garvey.

Camillus 7 - Ogdensburg 4: Tyler Sovie scored twice, Tegan Frederick scored a goal with an assist and Camden Griffith and Nathan Irvine passed out assists,

Ogdensburg 8 - Watertown 4: Tegan Frederick scored two goals and assisted on a tally by Laughlin O'Donnell to lead the offense. Tyler Sovie came through with a goal and an assist, Aidan Moran scored once and Austin Thornhill passed out an assist in the victory.

They played Watertown Friday night and won 8-2 Saturday played Gatineau and won a lot to a little I can’t remember and then Lysander 10-0 and the on championship Sunday we beat Watertown in the championship 4-3.
