Oswego Blanks SUNY Canton Women's Soccer

OSWEGO – Freshman Victoria Hanna made nine saves but host Oswego State scored three goals in the opening 28 minutes to secure a 4-0 win in non-conference action on Wednesday.

Result: Oswego 4, SUNY Canton 0

Graisa Madden, Lynsey Roth and Maggie Riordan all found the back of the net in the opening 28 minutes with the final score of the half coming off a penalty kick. The Lakers took a 3-0 lead into intermission.

Hanna, the defending North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week, made seven saves in the second half, while conceding one lone goal to Jackie Vigliotti.

The Lakers finished with a 13-0 edge in shots on goal and 8-0 advantage in corner kicks


The Roos return to North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on Saturday when they visit NVU-Lyndon at 1 p.m.
