Poise On Floor Foul Line Lifts OFA JV

POTSDAM - Poise on the floor and at the foul line keyed a well earned 54-44 win over Potsdam on Tuesday night according to OFA JV Boys Basketball Coach Dakota Brady.

"It was a great team win against a tough Potsdam team. We did a great job attacking the basket and running the floor. The boys did a great job keeping their composure when the other team went on runs and they were able to knock down free throws in the fourth quarter to round out the game," said Coach Brady.

The Devils produced a solid offensive package with five players scoring seven points or more led by Kam Johnson who went 11-14 at the foul line scoring a game high 16 points. Johnson made 10 straight free throws over the course of the third and fourth quarters.

Justice McIntyre and Aiden LaFlair scored 12 and 10 points for OFA with Andrew Loffler and Shea Polniak following with nine and seven.

Daniel Major scored 15 points leading a determined Potsdam effort and Theo Hughes netted eight with six in the fourth quarter. Daniel Major scored seven points in the Potsdam cause.
