Potsdam Drives Past Massena To 2-0

Generating scoring drives in all three quarters Potsdam methodically marched past Massena 30-8 and a 2-0 record in NAC Football on Saturday. A 2-0 start has earned the Sandstoners hon-rable mention in the first NYS Sportswriters Association's Class B rankings of the season.

The Stoners also scored three two-point conversions and rushed to a 30-0 lead against the 0-2 Raiders. Will Varney rushed for 120 yards on 20 carries and scored three touchdowns to lea the Stoners ball control rushing attack and quarterback Zach Kirka threw a nine-yard touchdown to Bobby Voss.

Kirka also carried the ball 12 times for 41 and threw a pair of two-point conversions to Will Roda for the Stoners who shut down Massena's attempts to establish a ground-oriented offense.
