Potsdam Hands OFA First West Volleyball Loss; M-W Win

POTSDAM - OFA jammed a bonanza of highlights into a 30-28 win in the second set of Tuesday's NAC West Volleyball match with host Potsdam. But the Stoners quelled a possible wave of momentum by the Devils posting an 18-25 fourth set win to seal the deal in conjunction with 25-19 and 25-19 wins in the first two sets.

"We some moments of greatness but we just couldn't sustain it against Potsdam which really played well in all phases of the game. And it was their Senior Night so they really wanted it. They served well, defended well and hit the ball well" said OFA Coach Sue McLean after the Lady Stoners handed the Blue Devils their first loss in West Division play.

"Our serving just wasn't on point. We only served at 75 per cent,. You can't win serving one out of four serves into the net and giving up points. But the third set was really something we came back from a 24-22 deficit and then it went back and fourth."

Potsdam pulled into a tie for the West Division lead at 5-1 with OFA (5-1 West 9-1) and has impressively won all six of matches against NAC East teams. OFA handed Potsdam their only loss in the first round of the season.
