Promising M-W Evens Volleyball Record Beating M-W

BRUSHTON - The Madrid-Waddington Volleyball team evened its NAC record at 1-1 with an interdivisional win over Brushton-Moira on Tuesday.

The Jackets, who compete in the NAC West, are looking to a solid season according to Coach Troy Creurer.

"The M-W Volleyball team is looking forward to the 2019 season.  Our roster has an even split of 6 juniors and 6 seniors with a variety of skills in each class.  We will be starting our season without the service of Marissa Hawkins who is out with a knee injury.  We are hoping to have her back early in September as she is a leader on the floor and one of our most talented players," said Creurer.

" We have a couple different setting options with Eve Higginson and Erin Barkley filling the setting role.  We have some good height in the middle of the court with Katie Bateman, Maddison Richardson and Kelsey Forbes all looking to fill the middle hitter position.  Our outside hitters: Riley Burke, Julia Cochrane, Delaine Lawrence, Sarah Weaver, Kassidy Roberts and Phoebe Zagrobelny are going to challenge other teams defense.  I am excited about our season and look forward to challenging teams each and every game."
