Raven, Crosby Post Double-Doubles In JCC Win

WATERTOWN - On Sunday the Lady Cannoneers of Jefferson Community College took the floor for the second time in the last five days. Both teams struggled from the perimeter, and saw most of their points coming from the painted area before JCC claimed a 53-5-1 qwqin.

The sophomore trio of Hammond's Alyson Crosby, Thousand Islands graduate Allyssa Eyles, and Ogdensburg's Raven continued their consistent play throughout the first half keeping the game within striking distance.

Down by 10 at the half Jefferson would mount its comeback in the second half. Jefferson would take the lead at the 2:27 mark behind a layup from Raven. They wouldn't relinquish the lead the rest of the way behind stellar free throw shooting, and strong ball handling down the stretch. Chelsey Raven led the offensive charge totaling 23 points, and 12 rebounds on the day. Alyson Crosby tallied 9 points, and 17 rebounds, while Eyles contributed 12 points. Freshman Bailey Zicari, Isabella Soluri, and Ogdensburg's Mattilynne Hough played huge minutes, and all made key plays down the stretch in the comeback win for the Lady Cannoneers. Jefferson will next play Tompkins-Cortland Community College on Tuesday (tonight) night at home.
