Remington II Canoe-Kayak Race Set For Sept. 5

The Remington II Canoe Race will be held on Sept. 5 and is a 6 mile downstream race on the Oswegatchie River from Rensselaer Falls to Heuvelton, NY. The course is primarily flatwater, however there are two short sets of Class I rapids which may be run or portaged depending on the water level. Online preregistration is required and will be limited to 50 paddlers! You must also download, print and sign a liability waiver and bring it with you on race day!

Headquarters and launch are on West Front Street, Rensselaer Falls, NY.

Look for the St. Lawrence Valley Paddlers banner! Social distancing is required while on shore! Please wear a mask if you cannot maintain at least a 6 foot separation. There will be no awards or awards ceremony. Results will be broken out to all NYPRA classes. A portable toilet will be at the start and finish. A hat will be provided to all preregistered paddlers!

Recreational class: 10:00 a.m and Racing classes  10:10 a.m.

Registration payment of $10 per paddler may be made via PayPal (using your PayPal account or a Credit Card). When you SUBMIT the preregistration form you will receive a confirmation with a link to make the race registration payment via PayPal (using your PayPal account or a Credit Card).
