Roos' Duo Wins NAC Men's Lacrosse Awards

Waterville, ME Chris McVannan and Zach Miner have been recognized as the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Co-Player and Rookie of the Week, as announced on Monday.

McVannan hit .300 (6-for-20) with five runs and 5 RBI along with sealing two bases. He also drew three walks for a .440 on-base percentage.

His best performance of the week came when he reached base four times going 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI and also reached base on a walk in a 13-6 win v. Merchant Marine Academy. He remains errorless after eight games in left field.

Miner hit .304 (7-for-23) with a double, six runs and 3 RBI in 10 games last week. The rookie also drew 10 walks good for a .515 on-base percentage. Defensively, the rookie was credited with 19 putouts and seven assists. Miner also pitched 6.1 innings for the Roos and struck out seven.
