Roos Hoop Dual Named Athletes Of Week
CANTON - Quran DuBois and George Nehma, both sophomores on the men’s basketball team, have been named this week’s Roos of the Week. DuBois averaged 21.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 64.0 percent from the field, 55.6 percent from three-point range and 85.7 percent from the free throw line in a huge 2-0 weekend for the Roos v. Husson. He opened the weekend with a game-high and tied a career-high with 22 points shooting 8-for-12 from the field and 3-for-4 from both three-point range and the foul line in a 79-63 win v. the Eagles on Friday. DuBois followed that up with another game-best of 21 points to go with eight rebounds. He shot 8-for-13 from the field, 2-for-5 from behind the arc and 3-for-3 from the charity stripe in the 82-63 victory. Nehma averaged 14.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 57.1 percent from the field and 75 percent from three-point range in a 2-0 weekend v. Husson. He opened the weekend tying a career-high 15 points in his first start of the season and added four rebounds and two assists while shooting 7-for-11 from the field. The sophomore followed that up with 13 points, seven rebounds, two blocks and two steals while hitting on five of his 10 field goals including both of his three-point attempts.
