Roos Sweep Husson For 7-1 NAC Record
Canton, NY – The men’s basketball team led nearly the entire game as they used an 82-63 win on Saturday to earn the weekend sweep v. Husson University and improve to 7-1 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play.
The Roos have won six straight with three straight conference sweeps v. Maine Maritime, Maine Presque Isle and Husson University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Roos came out of the gates on fire jumping out to an early 20-4 lead just over six minutes into the game. Canton continued to hold a double digit lead throughout the remainder of the first half taking a 39-27 lead into intermission.Quran DuBois and Danny Santana led all players with 11 first-half points, while George Nehma added seven. Justice Kendall had seven for the Eagles.Husson cut the lead to five (47-42) using a 15-8 run in the opening six minutes of the second half. The Roos responded with an 8-0 run to regain a double digit advantage.The Eagles trimmed the deficit to seven with 9:23 to play but an 11-0 Canton run over the next five minutes put the Roos up 18 with 4:21 to play and the game out of reach.The Roos shot 45 percent from the field and 36 percent from three-point range for the game, while Husson hit on just 35 percent and 20 percent of their attempts, respectively.Canton controlled the glass 46-30.DuBois led all players with 21 points and added eight rebounds on 8-for-13 shooting. Santana supplied 19 points including a 10-for-11 mark from the free throw line, while Nehma tallied 13 points and seven rebounds.Joseph Werner stuffed the stat sheet with seven points, nine rebounds and six assists. The rebounds and assists were both game-highs. Ibu Smith recorded seven points and seven rebounds off the bench, while Juztin Chambers-Phillips also had seven points.Scott Lewis led Husson with 15 points, while Kendall (13) and Derek Collin (10) also scored in double figures.
