Salmon River Blanks Malone 6-0

FORT COVINGTON - Six different players scored goals and provided assists on Friday as Salmon River blanked Malone 6-0 in NAC Division II hockey action.

Jarred Showen, Tim Cook, Kade Cook, Luke Miller, Conner Lewis and Evan Collette all scored goals and Stone Chubb, Kade Cook, Gavin Avery, Alex Oakes, Cobbie Cree and Chase Lewis all passed out assists.

Ryan Oakes stopped 11 shots for the shutout.

"This was a good team win tonight.  Despite our record, we've controlled large portions of each game.  Our inexperience is is starting to fade.  Lots of first time scorers for us with Kade Cook, Luke Miller and Evan Collette and a first varsity win and shutout for Ryan Oakes.  We look forward to our upcoming games in January," said SR Coach Tim Cook.

In nonleague action Bellows Free Academy blanked Malone 5-0 and in the first round of St. Lawrence Central Tournament Thousand Islanders downed SLC 3-1 and Norwood-Norfolk shaded Watertown IHC 2-1.
