Sendoff Planned For OFA Cheerleaders On Friday


The OFA Cheerleaders and parents were given a dinner by the Moose Lodge on Thursday.

There will be a community send off for the OFA Cheerleaders on Friday morning as the Blue Devils head to Rochester for the New York State Championships. The team enjoyed a 3-peat this season winning the Section 10 Large Team title after taking Co-Ed honors in the two previous seasons.

The team's bus is leaving OFA at 9 a.m. and turning right on to Ford Street, turning right onto Park Street arrive at Kennedy school for a parade of athletes. The bus will then Leave Kennedy School, go down Park Street to Route 37, turn right onto Route 37, turn right onto New York Ave and turn left onto Pine Street up to Madill School.

"Please fill the street with blue and show your pride for the cheerleaders. Hope to see a crowd out cheering them on. Good luck this weekend to all OFA teams this weekend," said a spokesperson for the sendoff's organizers.

The team and parents were hosted for a dinner at the Ogdensburg Moose Lodge on Thursday.

The Barr family will be out in force Friday morning supporting the OFA Cheerleaders at their sendoff
