SLU Reversal Wins NNYGA 6-Man Team Title
MALONE - The the Oliver Appleton St. Lawrence University Golf Club team captured the Northern New York Men's Golf Association 6-Man Team Championship in Malone on Sunday.
The SLU Golf Club finished with a score of 962 and a three-stroke win over Malone at 965. The SLU squad prevailed with a major second day comeback rebound from a 498 day one team total to a 464 on Sunday.
Leading the swing was Nate Christy who shot a 71 on Sunday after coming in an 86 on Saturday. The Low Gross Overall was turned in by John Pezdek, of St. Lawrence at 76-76-152 followed by Joe Delisle of Malone at xxxx.
Other members of the SLU CG team are: Aaron Jones 77-78-155, Chris Felix 93-81-174, Nate Christy 86-71-157, Jason Casey 87-79-166 and Randy Todd 79-79-158. Bob Dupree shot a 98-90-188 in the Senior ranks, Bruce Weiner fashioned an 88-82-170 as the Super Senior representative and Ryan Jones logged an 87-82-169 in the Junior Ranks.
Potsdam took third at 1018 followed by Massena at 1021, the Watertown Golf Club at 1022, the Partridge Run Golf and Country Club at 1041, Carlowden Country Club at 1062, Tupper Lake at
Tom Smith of Potsdam took the Senior title at 151, Him Lusk of Malone emerged with Super Senior honors at 150 and Tyler Berkman of Potsdam captured Junior Honors at 154.
Director Low Net honors went to- Arlie Collins, Malone of Malone at 65.

Other team leaders in the tournament were: Chris Taylor of Potsdam 158, Todd Totten of Gouverneur 173, Anthony Viskovich 157, Adam Szlamzynski and Jake Ladouceur of Partridge Run at 164, Mike Benson and Logan Spaulding of Carlowden at 172, Jim Bouden of Tupper Lake at 159 and George LaBarr of the Watertown Country Club at 163.
