SLU Golfers Take Fourth At Liberty League Tourney
First-year Cooper Evans tied for fourth place and William Wilson shaved eight strokes off his round-one score to lead the St. Lawrence University men's golf team to fourth place at the 2021 Liberty League Championships at the Turning Stone's par-72 Shenendoah Golf Course on Sunday afternoon in Verona, New York.
The Saints moved from sixth place after the first round, to fourth place after the second and final round of the championships, finishing with a combined 609 (312, 297).
Evans shot a 74 on day two and finished with a combined 147, just three over par to tie for fourth place, while Wilson shot a 71 for a combined 150 and a tie for 11th place.
RPI finished in first place with a 577 and the Engineers' Ryan Quinn claimed the individual title, shooting five under par. The University of Rochester finished second and Clarkson took third.
The league championships concluded the Saints' 2021 abbreviated season.
