SLU's Warden Earns All-East Region Honors
St. Lawrence University junior offensive lineman Max Warden was named a Third-Team All-East Region selection by D3football.com on Tuesday. Warden is a former Potsdam High School and Salisbury School standout.
Warden, who also earned First-Team All-Liberty League honors, started all 10 games at left tackle, anchoring an offensive line that helped the Saints set program records for passing yards (3,301), eclipsing the 3,000-yard mark for the first time in program history, and completions (271). He helped St. Lawrence rack up 4,120 total yards on offense, good for second in program history.
Warden is the first St. Lawrence player to earn All-Region honors since Skyler Williamson '17 and Tyler Mirabile '18 were selected in 2017.
The Saints finished 5-5 in 2019, a major improvement on the team's 2-8 record from the previous two seasons.
