Spain Wins OBGC Senior Soccer Championship

Spain posted two high-scoring wins to win the Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club Senior Indoor Soccer Championship.

Game 1: Spain 10 – Germany 1

Spain was able to win the first game of the night sending them to the championship with a solid game on offense Jon Bateman led the way for Spain with eight goals followed by one from Carson Skidds and then one from Isabel Weeger who also played well in net. For Germany they were only able to net one goal which came early from Jamar Richey.

Game 2: Brazil 1 (shootout) – USA 0

The second game of the night was all about defense as this game went to overtime scoreless and then was forced into a shootout Tyler Small played well all game in net as did Damien Skidds. In the shootout Nick Davidson was able to finish things off in a sudden death shootout scoring a goal on Bryce Redmond.

Game 3: Spain 6 – Brazil 2

Spain was able to cap off an undefeated season winning the championship game against Brazil. Leading the way for Spain was Jon Bateman who scored five of the six goals while Kiara Deloney finished things off with one and Isabel Weeger played well in net.

For Brazil they came up just short scoring twice on goals from Connor O’Shea and Nick Davidson.
