SUNY Canton Esports Team Reaches ECAC Finals

Canton, NY – The SUNY Canton Esports programs wrapped up a successful fall season as the Roos Overwatch “A” team finished runner-up in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Playoffs eventually falling 3-0 in the championship to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

The Roos finish the season in second place out of the 31 Overwatch teams competing in ECAC play.

Other top performances from the playoffs this past week include the ECAC Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (SSBU) “A” team making an appearance in the Elite 8 before falling to Sacramento State, 2-1.

In the State University of New York (SUNY) Esports Playoffs two SUNY Canton teams made it to the Final Four, or semifinals. Both the SSBU “A” team and the Rainbow Six Siege team earned spots in the semifinals before both dropping matches to the University at Albany, 3-1 and 2-0, respectively.
