SUNY Canton Men's Soccer Hosts ID Clinic

CANTON - The SUNY Canton men's soccer team will be hosting its annual spring ID Clinic on Sunday, March 29 for prospective student-athletes in grades 9-12, as well as those enrolled in junior colleges or four-year colleges who have filled out the proper release paperwork and documentation. "We are excited to continue our recruiting process with a spring edition of our ID clinic," Head Coach Tim Penrod said. "We’ve moved this event up a few weeks in order to get a good look at any potential last-minute additions to our 2020 roster, as well as welcome early members of our 2021 and 2022 class and their families to our campus for the first time.” The clinic will include technical and tactical training for field players, goalkeeper specific training, and the opportunity to play in both small-sided and 11 v. 11 games. In order to ensure quality opportunities for the coaching staff to observe each participant, registration will be capped at 35 participants. The clinic will also provide prospective student-athletes and their families the opportunity to tour campus and meet with admissions counselors. "While we expect many return visitors through the clinic, for those who are making their first trip to Canton, we want to make sure we provide them every opportunity to learn about all aspects of SUNY Canton," Penrod noted.
