Team Aurgh, Thomas repeat at Hoswegatchie Duathlon

Team Aurgh and Ilona Thomas gained repeat wins in the Team and Female Divisions in the July segment of the Hoswegatchie Duathlon Series on Wednesday night. Lyles Trombly gained his first win in the Male Division in the action which was staged in hot humid conditiions from Hosmer's Marina in Ogdensburg.

"Our numbers were a little down tonight but I think the heat caused that. A lot of people doing it fir the first time but not have done it because of the heat," said Gary Hammond of CGSW Racing which hosts the series.

"It was another great night of racing."

A donation to the OFA Marching Band was made from proceeds of the event and members of the Marching Blue Devils and Band Director Jon Cole were on hand to held in the setup, takedown and running of the race.

The event features two 1.8-mile runs sandwiched around an 8-mile bike ride. The third and final leg of the event will be held on Aug. 14.

Sponsors for the series are: Hosmer's Marina, Total Cyclery and Sports, Pepsi Cola and the City of Ogdensburg.
