UMass Drops No.1 Clarkson In Floor Hockey

UMass upended top seeded SLU in the championship game of the Elementary Floor Hockey Playoffs at the Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club.

Game 1: Maine 6 – Clarkson 1

Maine was able to finish in third place on the season after beating Clarkson in the consolation game. For Maine leading the way was Brody Barrett who scored all six of the teams goals while Trey Thompson played well in net. For Clarkson they were only able to put up one goal which came from Henry Shaver.

Game 2: UMASS 5 – SLU 2

UMass was able to take down SLU in a great championship game which went back and forth all game. UMASS pulled away late with Urijah Austin leading the way scoring two goals while Henry Shaver, Maddox Brenno and Frank Barr all scored once and Gavin Moran chipped in with an assist.

While on defense Cole Mathews shut things down in net for the win. For SLU it was a hard fought season coming up just short with Nate Sholette scoring the teams only two goals.
