Unsinkable Dick Garlock Leads NYBC Federated Club Tournament

You can't keep a good man down and in Dick Garlock's case noting can keep a great angler from competing for and winning tournament honors.
The Alexandria Bay octegenarian proved that again on Saturday by placing first in the Northern New York Bassmasters Club Federated Trail Tournament staged on the St. Lawrence River out of Ogdensburg with 20.16 pounds while dealing with the effects of a broken pelvis. Second place went to Donnie Duprey with 20.12 lbs, third place went to Tyler Capella with 19.36 lbs and fourth to John Narrow who also landed a massive tournament lunker of 6.22 lbs.
"Nothing can stop Dick. He just keeps fishing and fishing," said NNYBC Federated Club President James Moore.
In the Federated Club tournaments anglers fish alone to accrue points for Angler of the Year honors and to qualify for the NNYBC's Six-Man team which fishes in the New York BASS Nation Club Championship.
Garlock used the first place finish to take over the lead for Angler of the Year art 20.16 points followed by Duprey at 20.12 and Capella at 19.36.
Garlock also finishes on the Northern New York Bassmasters Club Team Trail with longtime partner Bob Marceau of Ogdensburg.
