Vielhauer's Last Minute Again Wins National Hydro Title

HAMPTON, VA. - It was not the best of summers for Ogdensburg's hydroplane racing family which was bogged down by mechanical problems through out the 2019 season.

But for Bill Vielhauer, owner of the H-8 Last Minute Again, and his driver Michael Tremblay of Quebec things got better in the month of September.

In a hurry.

On Sept. 8 Tremblay piloted H8 to a storming victory in the 350 Hydro final of the Beauharnois Regatta of the Hydroplane Racing League. Two weeks later, on Saturday, Tremblay took the checked flag in the Class E finals of in the Summer Nationals at the Hampton Cup Regatta in Hampton, Va.

Tremblay guided H8 to victory in a wire to wire race with John Shaw.
