Watertown IHC Downs M-W Girls

WATERTOWN - Melinda Rivera scored six points in a 13-5 third quarter run and led all scorers with 12 points as Watertown IHC downed Madrid-Waddington 32-25 in nonleague girls basketball action on Saturday. Sam Malbouf scored nine points for the Cavaliers.

Alexis Sullivan continued as the offensive leader for M-W netting 11 points and Grace Plum ley and Anna Brady each tallied two.

Jaelynn Uppstrom, Kayla Dinneen, Lydia Thomas and Lily LaMere all added two for the Yellow Jackets who took a 12-9 first quarter but were limited to 13 over the last three.

"We have been creating good shots, inside and outside and out, we just can't make them," said M-W Coach Bryan Harmer.

In an NAC East game played on Saturday St. Lawrence Central downed Brushton-Moira 68-27.
