Wildcats Extend Mat Streaking Beating OFA

GOUVERNEUR - Continuing its multi-season winning streak in Northern Conference and Section 10 action Gouverneur downed OFA 53-18 in NAC wrestling action on Tuesday.

The Wildcats' victory was highlighted by Carter Baer recording a 17-2 technical fall over Tristan Richardson in a duel of two members of the Section 10 100-Win Club. Richardson was honored last week as the Section 10 Wrestler of the Week for a first and second place finish at two major tournaments.

Other Wildcat pins came from: Tyler Tupper (182), Jacob Shippee (220), Trayton Tupper (120), Drew Gates. The lone decision of the night saw Zoey Griffith of Gouverneur nipping Brayden Wall 9-8.

OFA's points on the night came via pins by Joey George at 285 pounds and Adam Calton of OFA at 138 pounds and a forfeit received by Dylan Moran at 152 pounds.

Gouverneur wrestlers receiving forfeits were: Joe Cummings (160), Mitchell Shipee (170), Hunter Mashaw (99) and Chance Mason (132).

OFA returns to action tonight at Malone and Gouverneur's match with Potsdam was postponed
