Wildcats Race Past SLC For 3-0 Football Start

GOUVERNEUR - Cayden Stowell broke loose for 229 yards of offense from scrimmage and three touchdowns as Gouverneur continued its big-play run to a 3-0 Northern Conference Football record with a 50-0 win over St. Lawrence Central on Saturday. Stowell rushed for 143 yards on just seven carries and took two pass receptions to the endzone and 86 yards for the Wildcats.

The Wildcats scored two touchdowns in the first, second and third quarters sparked by Stowell who caught a 20-yard touchdown pass from Caleb Farr in the first quarter, raced 88 yards to the endzone in the second quarter and took a another Farr pass 66 yards to the endzone in the the third quarter.

Farr delivered a 43-yard scoring run in the second quarter, ran for a pair of two-point conversions and intercepted a pass on defense. Other Wildcat touchdowns came on a nine yard run by Kyle Savage, a 23-yard run by Jacob Shippee and a one-yard run by Jared Wilson.

Mitchell Tyler added 74 yards on eight carries for Gouverneur which visits OFA for a midseason match of 3-0 teams on Friday night.
