Wilson Shoots Par; SLU Stands Second


William Wilson shot par to help lead the St. Lawrence University men's golf team to a second-place tie on day one of the Nazareth Fall Invitational at the 6615-yard, par-72 Monroe Golf Club in Pittsford, New York on Saturday afternoon.

Wilson shot a 72 and finished round one in second place, while Peyton Knauf and Tom Egbers tied for fifth, shooting just 2-over par with a 74.

Max Hagan shot a 78 to tie for 15th, while Michael Bliss tied for 23rd with an 80.

After round one, Allegheny sits in first place with a 295, while St. Lawrence tied for second with the University of Rochester with a combined 298.

O'Connell Leads Ladies

Maggie O'Connell shot a 114 to lead the St. Lawrence University women's golf team on day one of the Nazareth Fall Invitational at the 5833-yard, par-72 Monroe Golf Club in Pittsford, New York on Saturday afternoon.

O'Connell finished day one in 14th place, while Gabrielle Collins shot a 116 for 15th and Abigail Collins shot a 117 for 16th place.

Fiona Wang and Maggie Munschauer finished 17th and 19th, respectively with a 122 and 150.

St. Lawrence finished day one in third place with a 469, while Allegheny holds first place with a 359.

The Saints will wrap up the fall portion of their schedule with round two at the Irondequoit Country Club on Sunday afternoon.
