Young OFA Swimmers Look Make Strides
The OFA Girls Swimming team will open a new season hosting the latest edition of Canton's aquatic juggernaut at 5 p.m. Thursday. Under the direction of Coach Meg McGovern the Lady Bears have fashioned a record-setting winning streak for any program in Section 10.
The Lady Devils will feature a very young team which looks to concentrate on development and improvement.
"We are very young with three seniors, no juniors and 10 new varsity swimmers. Bur that is all right because the girls are working hard to get better," said Tebo.
"They are nice group and they will do well."
Projected leaders for the team are senior freestyler Isabelle Powers, senior distance freestyler Nevaeh Lockwood, sophomore freestyle Hannah Powers and freshman Myah Myers who showed outstanding promise in the backstroke and 500 freestyle last season as an eighth grader.
